CURIOUS BILL

A Southern Yellow Billed Hornbill spotted while on an overloading trip to Namibia with my wife. This particular photo was taken close to the giant granite monolith located in Damaraland called 'The Brandberg’, which is known as Namibia's highest mountain. 

Hornbills are such fascinating, charismatic birds, known for their elusive nature and tendency to flit away at the slightest disturbance. This challenge, however, only added to the excitement and satisfaction when I finally got such a clear shot of his unique bill and striking black and white plumage. Perfect for my collection of animal portraits. 

This experience was just one of the many unforgettable moments we had during our journey through Namibia, and we highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the great outdoors.
